This database is a part of the larger NY Equitable Economies Coalition's efforts to shift how organizations do procurement and support the economic mobility of people of color.

The Coalition is committed to three main goals:
  1. Building out an accessible BIPOC database for the public good
  2. Change nonprofit procurement practices to attract more BIPOC vendors, consultants, and contractors
  3. Advocate on the city and state level for BIPOC vendors, consultants and contractors.
